AAM supports the campaign to #ReverseTheBan

If you live in York, you might be aware of some changes to access within the city centre. Since 2021, the Council's decision to restrict access to Blue Badge Holders has caused problems for the disabled community. It's impacted AAM as an organisation.

Our projects and the people who take part in them have suffered due to a lack of accessibility. We've had to overlook City centre venues due to lack of access to disabled parking. This means we've had to move our projects further out of the city, which can be harder for some people to reach.

To counter this, we've signed up to support @reverse_the_ban alongside other associations and action groups. They're asking the Council and North Yorkshire Police to speak with disabled residents about access within the City.
