IMPs half-term holiday fun!

This February half-term we went on an AAM-azing adventure with Hannah, where we got up to all sorts of exploring!

We had two exciting workshops on offer - one for young people aged 5-10 years and the other for those aged 11-plus

We had the best time, making crafty critters with leaves, pipe cleaners and googly eyes. Everyone’s creation was different, and they all looked fab.

Five leafy woodland themed crafts are displayed

And we created a beautiful soundscape together, full of woodland sounds made from all sorts of percussion instruments.

We explored the sounds of the seasons too. Some were big, bold and loud, others were small, soft and gentle.

We learnt about animals who live in the woodland too. Everyone picked their favourite woodland animal and stuck it on our seasonal storyboard. And we explored the noises they make. From hedgehogs to owls, we had a real hoot recreating their sounds!

Autumn turned to winter, and snow started to fall. We used a parachute and worked together to bounce cotton wool balls to recreate the snow inside. It was slow at first, but it grew into a blizzard pretty fast

A woodland adventure isn’t the same without a game or two. So, we grabbed our ‘pooh sticks’ and threw them down the wiggly river we made from fabric. It was great fun seeing them race to the bottom.

Phew - all that fun, packed into two hours! We can't wait until the next IMPs Holiday Club!

Our next holiday clubs will be in the Easter holidays. We'll have two differently themed workshops available, both with sessions available for 5-10 year olds and 11 years and up.
