We’re on the move after 10 fabulous years at Burton Stone Community Centre

As you may be aware, Burton Stone Community Centre, where we’ve been based since 2008, closes at the end of May.

After 10 fabulous years in Clifton, we’re moving to Sanderson House in Acomb at the start of June.

Our offices will be based at Sanderson House, along with some of our project sessions, including AbleWeb. Our IMPs and Hands & Voices projects are now running weekly sessions at York High School. And we’ll be delivering iMUSE sessions in different venues across York, starting with 12 weeks of sessions at Glen Lodge in Heworth,  aimed at people with dementia and memory less. We’ll keep you posted on future session details as soon as they’re confirmed.

Run by Chapelfields Community Association, Sanderson House is a great facility for all the community. We’re really looking forward to getting to know the fantastic groups and organisations working in the community in Acomb and Westfield. And we can’t wait to find out more about the great projects and activities that are happening in the area.

We want to say a huge AAM thank you to everyone for making the last 10 years at Burton Stone Community Centre so amazing. We’ve had a lot of fun being creative in Clifton and we’ve had the privilege of working with some utterly brilliant groups and individuals. And we’ve loved being part of the local community.

If anyone has any questions about the move, please contact the office on 01904 626965.
